Dobake Bakeries is proud to announce the launch of a complete line of 12 oz Turnovers for the in-store bakery. “We are excited to offer three delicious varieties,” says Lynn Knott, Dobake Bakeries marketing manager. The thaw and sell turnovers, each a three-ounce serving, are available in classic apple and cherry and refreshing lemon. They are packed four per clamshell and a Case pack of 12.

Memorial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA June 10-12. Check out our website in the near future for our booth number and updates on products we will be featuring at the show.

School Wise™ Gets a New Look

Dobake Bakeries is proud to unveil a new look for its School Wise™ line of foodservice products. The new logo communicates our commitment to the use of wholesome and natural ingredients – including 100% whole grains.

The first products that will bear the School Wise™ logo are all varieties of the individually wrapped muffins. The new labels utilize bright, kid-friendly colors that help differentiate flavors at a glance.

New! Chocolate Brownie Bites & Mini Danish

Dobake is proud to announce the launch of a complete line of 1-oz brownie bites and an assorted mini Danish for the in-store bakery. “The initial launch of the 2-pound brownie tub was so successful,” says Lynn Knott, Dobake’s marketing manager, “we saw an opportunity to offer the consumer variety with products not currently available in the market.”

The brownie, a one-ounce (two-bite) serving, comes in classic chocolate in a one or two-pound tub (16oz per package – case pack 12). Additional varieties include chocolate-raspberry (made with real raspberries), chocolate-truffle (a rich take on the confection) and mint chocolate-chip and are available in a one-pound tub (case pack 12).

Also new to the line-up is an assorted 10-count mini danish (12oz per package – case pack 12). These new danish clamshells are the perfect choice for adding color and flavor variety to the in-store self-serve bakery. Each package features raspberry, lemon, cheese, and apple danish – perfectly sized for entertaining company or a light every-day treat.

California School Kids Choose Dobake

In a recent taste test, California school kids chose Dobake Bakeries’ Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls as their favorite breakfast item. The taste test was sponsored by the California School Nutrition Association (CSNA) and conducted by Nutritional Advisory Councils (NAC) at their Mini-Conference 2011 in March.

Dobake Bakeries’ Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls beat out mini whole-wheat cinnamon rolls, a national brand yogurt and a cereal.

The Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls were developed with school nutrition guidelines in mind, but formulated so kids would want to eat them. Numerous taste tests with children grade K-12, proved that they had no idea they were eating cinnamon rolls made with sweet potatoes–packed full of ingredients that are good for them. We suppose then, it’s no surprise that these Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls are our number one selling school item.
